- Mr. Thompson is the Tax Director at Eightfold Real Estate Capital. He has more than 31 years of experience in accounting and tax both within the public accounting and private equity industries. His last 19 years are primarily related to the real estate and private equity industries.
Prior to joining Eightfold, he served as a Senior Manager at Deloitte, followed by Tax Director positions at BRE Hotels & Resorts (a Blackstone Company) and Angelo Gordon. His primary responsibility was leading the tax compliance and consulting functions of the tax department. This included managing, from a tax perspective, over $9 billion in assets across all types of commercial real estate held by multi-tiered partnerships and Real Estate Investment Trusts ("REITs").
Mr. Thompson is a licensed CPA and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, in Accounting, from Queens College of the City University of New York (CUNY).
