- Ms. Friedman serves as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Eightfold Real Estate Capital, where she oversees the firm’s finance, accounting, operations, financial reporting, fund administration, and strategic financial management. She also plays an integral role in portfolio valuation, secondary market transactions, investor reporting, capital raising efforts, and strategic planning. Ms. Friedman has more than 16 years of experience in finance, accounting, operations, valuation, and real estate investment management.
Prior to joining Eightfold in October 2016, Ms. Friedman was an Audit Manager at Deloitte & Touche LLP in Miami, specializing in the financial services industry. Her experience included auditing alternative investment managers, mortgage REITs, and structured credit investment vehicles, including Eightfold Real Estate Capital and Starwood Property Trust, providing her with extensive expertise in commercial real estate finance, structured credit, and investment management. She began her career with Deloitte in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Ms. Friedman earned a Bachelor of Business Science (Honours) in Finance and Accounting and a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of Cape Town. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) (CA(SA)).
