- Mr. Kerr is the Director of Asset Management for Eightfold Real Estate Capital. He has worked in various facets of commercial real estate and finance for the past 27 years.
Prior to joining Eightfold, Mr. Kerr was employed by Rialto Capital Advisors, LLC, (“Rialto”) since August of 2018 as a Senior Vice President in its Real Estate Owned Group. Mr. Kerr was responsible for the oversight and operation of Trust owned assets in the Northeast. Additionally, Mr. Kerr provided valuation, lease approval and general support for the loan workout and non-transfer teams. Finally, Mr. Kerr provided underwriting support for new B piece acquisitions as well as re-underwriting support for the surveillance team.
Prior to Rialto, Mr. Kerr was employed by LNR Partners, LLC for 14 years. Starting as an Associate, he was promoted over the years several times until reaching Senior Vice President. He was employed in a variety of roles for the Special Servicer including performing loan requests, defaulted loan workouts and real estate owned oversight. In all roles, Mr. Kerr was charged with maximizing returns for the Trust. Additionally, Mr. Kerr was the coordinator of affiliated loan and REO acquisitions and note sales. Finally, Mr. Kerr provided underwriting support for new B piece acquisitions as well as re-underwriting support for the surveillance team.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Kerr had a variety of different roles including Acquisitions and Development for Private Equity Fund, Platinum Equity Group; Investment Banking Associate with Equitable Securities Corporation; and an International Bank Examiner with the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
Mr. Kerr received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and English from Tufts University and a Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Chicago.
